This wouldn't be Saatchi for Toyota?.... if so it ALSO involves stopping the bus runs, a car (Toyota of course) and helicopters swooping between buildings.. hopefully not involving any crashes. I understand the city council has already approved the planned commercial. Sometime in mid September at night on a weekend.

It looks like they've canned the plan to nick our power. They've gone for the gas instead.

This beggars belief!

And since my last power bill, I'm policing the teenagers and the nearly-teenager to turn off lights, tv, heaters, pc, printer, etc when they leave rooms like there's no tomorrow; so how does asking local businesses to "leave the lights on all weekend" square with the general moral panic that's been sweeping godzone since the lights went off in Auckland during the big storm? (not to mention the snowed in Otago-and-Southlanders....)

Is there no end to the perfidy of Australians?
And then they put ads on the telly asking "where the hell are ya?"

The answer, of course, is that in Wellington we're sitting in front of the heater, watching tv with the lights off to save power..... while the hillside next door slips!
*cue shameless plug* for Jitterati, by Grant Buist, sorry haven't got a link for it, but grab a copy of Capital Times, this week's cartoon is priceless! This one's an in-joke for Welli folk, apologies to the rest of the country....
