A big Friday night

This Friday at the Wellington Opera House, young Green activist and candidate number 11 on our party list, Gareth Hughes, is joining Metiria and Russel to launch the Green Party youth policy and the Green Party youth election campaign.

But after that, it is Friday night after all, he’ll be joining the Phoenix Foundation, Little Bushman, Cassette, Thomas Oliver Band, Silenzio & The Swift, Matt Pike, and Isunray for a massive concert.

Phoenix Foundation

Phoenix Foundation front man Samuel Flynn Scott says

The Phoenix boys are very happy to be associating our selves with the Green Party. As a touring band we are very aware of our environmental impact and feel that all New Zealanders on every end of the political spectrum need to learn some hard lessons about the state of our country (ourselves included).

This upcoming election could be the most important political event my generation has yet been involved in. We are also just really excited about playing with our good friends from Cassette and Little Bushman at our favourite Wellington venue.

    i’m suffering from gig-envy..

(i think the little bushmen are so feckin’ good..!..

    ..the others aren’t slouches..either..)

and when is the auckland gig..?

given your appalling polling up here..

..and general neglect/ignoring of the countries’ largest group of voters..

..do you think it might be an ‘idea”?

    ..a free ‘big green gig’..?

    here’s a thought..!

you could use it to launch the cannabis policy..!

  2. phil u Says:

or were you planning a more low-key cannabis-policy-launch..?

Phil, I doubt there will be a launch of the Greens’ cannabis policy. That is because, despite your protestations to the contrary, it hasn’t changed and, I am reliably informed, is unlikely to change.

  4. phil u Says:

toad..that you no doubt wrote that with a straight face..

    ..is sorta both funny..and sad..

    ..so..

    ..the silence continues..?

    n’est ce pas change’..

    ..eh..?

I kinda get the feeling that Phil is trying his hardest to sabotage the party.

good idea. a cannabis launch could be a grand oportunity for the green party to pull the pin on prohibition. most kiwi music i know of is saturated with use of herb:-)
