seeing as jeanette is the most trusted politician in new zealand..

would it not make a lot of sense to have her largely fronting the green party campaign..?

and..have you asked bob jones yet for that money he said he would give you..?

..(remember..he did say that he just hadn’t been asked..yet..?..)

I think fitzsimmons is getting ready to leave the Greens phil - wasn’t she thinking about leaving last time around? Would make sense to get Russ into the spotlight while he can associate with her ‘brand’.

but surely the short term objective is getting the highest vote possible..?

..russell can get used to parliament after that..

I agree with Phil here. Jeanette is the most trusted politician and yet still people won’t vote for her party. Key is well down on trust (lower even than Helen) and still people vote for his party. We do need to ask ourselves why.

I don’t think Jeanette would ever leave the Greens Stephen. I think what she has said is that her current intention is to not stand for Parliament again in 2011.

Mind you, if she becomes the next Minister of Energy and Transport and has the opportunity to start implementing some programmes for real ecological sustainability she may well change her mind.

    Nit picker!

Yeah, opposition (or whatever the Greens have been) can’t sustain people’s interest for ever, but getting into government would be a shot in the arm for sure.

  9. StephenR Says:

2011 though eh…how old is she anyway?

  10. StephenR Says:

Actually you might be right on the short term objective phil, yes.
