   Have there been similar tours from politicians from other parties, highlighting the plight of New Zealand native creatures? A whitebait tour by Ron Mark? Hoki tour from Peter Dunne? Peripatus tour from Heather Roy? Why not?

   Because in a world where economics is measured only in dollars all those things are deemed ‘externalities’ i.e. they are outside the parameters of the main discourse.
